About the opponents feature

People have asked me for years to let them change the names and faces of the opponents on the site. I always resisted, mostly because I believe that having the same opponents for everyone makes the site feel more personal, and the opponents feel more real. I like it when people complain about "Bill", not just "the player at the top, that I've named Steve". People see all sorts of differences in Bill, Mike and Lisa that aren't there at all, and people talk to each other on the Facebook community page about them. I like that!

UPDATE 2020-03-14: This feature is now open for everyone!

But, having said that, I also wanted to see if I could make a secret feature, an achievement to unlock, that would make the people who unlocked it appreciate it even more! So, I created the Opponents feature, where if you accomplish something very difficult, then you get to pick and choose your own opponents. Maybe one day I'll open up this feature to everyone, but I honestly think people like it a lot more if they have to work for it, so at least for now it's staying this way. That said, if you really really really really want to change them, and just can't accomplish the tasks needed, send me an email and we'll see what we can do 😎.

Game failed to load

The primary script that runs our games seems to not have loaded, somehow.

This is in despite of the fact other scripts seem to have loaded up just fine.

This issue has been automatically reported and we're looking into it, but we'd be very grateful if you could send a report to support@cardgames.io with any further detail you can think of, including if you're running any script-blocking extensions, ad-blockers, or if your browser is set to block specific types of scripts.
