Sea Battle (which you may also know under the name Battleship) is originally a simple pen and paper game. You play against an opponent, you both have a piece of paper with two 10x10 grids, one grid for your own ships, and one for your opponent's ships which you are trying to find. You start by arranging your ships on your grid. The ships you have are:

The ships may not be next to each other on the grid, not even diagonally, there must always be at least one square between ships. Other than that you can arrange them how you want. You can either take the default random placement, click on the "Randomize" button to get a different random placement, or you can drag the ships around and click on them to turn them to get a completely custom setup.
I know many versions of the game allows ships to be next to each other, but that is not allowed here. I think it makes the game a lot more interesting if it's not allowed, since then getting a large ship gives you a greater advantage.
Players then take turns announcing a shot on the grid, e.g. a player will say "E5" and their opponent will then say "hit" if they hit something on E5 or "miss" if they missed. If you hit a ship you get to shoot again. You mark which squares are hits and which are misses and try to be the first to sink all your opponent's ships. The first player to sink their opponent's ships wins the game.
There are many variatons of the game with different ships and different names (Battleship, Broadsides), but we've chosen the version I used to play myself in Iceland. And the name "Sea Battle" is a direct translation of what the game is called in Icelandic ("Sjóorrusta").
I've wanted to make this game for a while and finally got around to it. It's our fifth game in the terrible year 2020. The other games we've made this year are Lockup, Addiction Solitaire, Clock Solitaire and Thirteen.
Sea Battle is a simple game but can be a lot of fun, especially against a real opponent. I also had fun playing around with some CSS animations and transitions to make it feel a bit more interesting, as well as some really loud sounds 😀.
